jQuery FTW (September 6)
September 6th, 2009 by Koen
I've been collecting interesting jQuery links but haven't had a chance to post them recently. Enjoy, and as always, please email me with any links you want to share.
  • jQTouch - a plugin for mobile development, covering the iPhone, Android, Palm Pre, and other devices.
  • jQuery - Manipulating Table Tow Background Colors - Part one of a three part series by Charlie Griefer discussing how to use jQuery to manipulate table cells. Pretty useful stuff to help readers find information within a large set of data.
  • Gritter - Another jQuery Growl type plugin. I really like the design on this one.
  • Link Nudge - A plugin that, well, "nudges" a link when you hover over the link. I'd be a bit careful to ensure you don't go too far with the movement.
  • jQTransform - This is a slick one. It basically just makes forms pretty. This looks like a no-brainer type plugin that really bump up your form design. I know that I could do more myself... but as my design skills suck, this looks to be an incredibly simple way of doing it.
  • Quick and Easy Image rollovers using jQuery - Dan Vega wrote a nice tutorial on doing image rollovers with jQuery.
  • Getting selected text with jQuery - A Stack Overflow post on working with selected text and jQuery.
  • Identifying and Locating Mouse Position with jQuery - A tutorial discussing getting the mouse position with jQuery.
  • jQuery UI 1.8 Preview - I'm a bit behind on this - but you can now check out the preview of jQuery UI 1.8.
Enjoy!
