Hey folks - forgive the lack of postings. I just got back from a week of vacation in Florida so while I'm still shaking sand out of my clothes, I thought I'd share some collected jQuery links from the past few weeks. • How to Develop a jQuery Plugin - As the title says, a blog entry on writing jQuery plugins. This is probably the biggest area I've avoided in jQuery, and frankly, now I don't know why. An excellent article to get your feet wet in plugin development.
• jQuery Unwrap Plugin - Simple - the opposite of the built-in jQuery wrap() function.
• Making an Expanding Code Block - Cool little demo of a UI element for code blocks that expands on hover.
• jQuery Before/After Plugin - Holy crap. Pardon my French here, but this is a slick as heck plugin. It allows you to set up a simple set of pictures (before and after) and then use a slider to go back and forth between two pictures. Super cool!
• jHtmlArea Plugin - Ok, I'm a bit anti-RTE, but if you do want to use a rich text editor, it probably makes sense to use a jQuery one.
• Advanced jQuery - Another extremely detailed article from IBM.
• Improving jQuery JSON Performance and Security - An interesting article about expanding jQuery to notice if the browser supports JSON parsing natively.
• Retrieve/Replace Selected Text with jQuery - An article by Todd Sharp talking about the fieldSelection jQuery plugin. I needed this a few weeks back!
